Designing in Silver Metal Clay

Make your own designs in 99.9% real silver from this fascinating and unique material, silver metal clay. This class is an introduction to the handling and finishing of the clay as well as design of small parts making a big impact! You'll be able to wear your artwork home or save it as a gift for that special someone! Both kiln and torch firing are presented. Projects include pendants, toggle, ring, bead frame and leaf. Please note, this is a design class, not a certification program.

Materials fee: $175 Includes 80 grms of several types of silver clay, firing brick, firing blanket, gold foil, gems, glass, fine silver and related materials to complete a week's worth of projects. Instructor will also supply the additional tools, props and kilns needed for the class.

Exploration in Polymer

Experience an ultimate education in polymer clay. This versatile medium pares well with a variety of media including metals and mixed media. The intensive class focuses on techniques, and includes basic introduction as well as color blending, modeling, caning, mokume gane and faux stone. Projects include a variety of jewelry accessories and surface design for embellishment in mixed media.

Materials fee $100 includes a kit assembly of tools, surface treatments, gold leaf, tools, findings, cords, Premo clay and additional embellishments to complete a week's worth of projects. Instructor will also supply additional tools and materials not included in the kit but for use with the class.
