Polymer Clay Worshops has been open just a week and I'm happy to report that we have almost 50 registered users and almost 60 links in our web links area. Most important, of course, are the 42 different polymer clay events listed in our Events Calendar! Keep entering those class events and tell your favorite polymer clay teachers and enthusiasts about PCW. They'll be glad you did!

| | | | Hi everyone, I wanted to take a few minutes to tell you about a wonderful pc workshop I just took with Marla Frankenberg. She came to our guild here in WV this past weekend (August 19 & 20) and it was the most incredible experience to take a class from her. Marla's workshop is truly special and unique. Her caning methods are REVOLUTIONARY and I'm really looking forward to applying them to my own work. From the perspective of a student and as an instructor, I learned SO MUCH in the last two days. She has a very special talent for teaching and has so many different methods she uses to make sure that everyone "gets it". The imaginary light bulbs were just going off all over the place in that room! It was just amazing to see how quickly all of those awesome flowers and ferns came together. My jaw dropped to the floor over and over again and I was speechless more than once. For those who know me, that's a pretty unusual phenomenon!
The true bonus was that besides all of the great information she shared, she has a killer sense of humor and kept us all in stiches. If you EVER get a chance to take her class, you will be so glad you did. She is very modest so I hope she's not embarrassed by all this gushing. Sorry Marla, I just can't help myself! I'm so excited to explore this new caning process! I believe she is heading south in December to teach in Florida (Tallahassee guild) so if you get the chance to spend the weekend with her there, don't let the opportunity pass you by. All the best, Kim www.kimcavender.com |
